Digital Transformation and Business Sustainability: Modelling the Role of Knowledge Management Systems, Green Digital Learning Orientation and AI Capability
The current study investigates how demand for environmental sustainability pressures businesses to initiate knowledge management systems, green digital learning orientation and technological capability (e.g., Artificial Intelligence capability). Thus, this study examines the direct effect of knowledge management systems and green digital learning orientation on sustainable business. Importantly, this study identifies the moderating role of AI capability on the relationship between green digital learning orientation and sustainable business. Based on the proposed model, we gathered 589 from Qatar firms involving upper, middle, and first-line management managerial positions. The findings indicated that the knowledge management system was positively related to green digital learning orientation and green digital learning orientation was significant towards sustainable business. Importantly, AI capability presents a significant two-way interaction of green digital learning orientation and AI capability on sustainable business which indicated that AI capability is a considerable conditional effect when the AI capability is high, the relationship of digital learning orientation and sustainable business is more substantial. Therefore, this study sheds light on the crucial stimulating aspects, including knowledge management systems’ excellent importance, functioning, and operational choices are required in an evolving business environment to sustain competitiveness in the worldwide marketplace.
